Abstract

This study examines the association of the seven tools of quality collectively and individually with disseminating the culture of performance measurement. The final sample consists of 63 staff working in ten (10) supporting Deanships at PSAU. Using a survey-based method, the results of On-Sample test, ANOVA test and Sidak test show that the seven tools are associated with disseminating the culture of performance measurement and there are statistical differences in the role played by each tool. Further, the results exhibit that insignificant differences have been reported between the demographical factors and the dissemination of the culture of performance measurement. The most important recommendations this study suggests are: developing the specialized training programs on tools of total quality management, non-discriminating between the targeted groups of training programs based on demographical factors, motivating the tools’ implementation in administrative and academic processes, and benefiting from the distinguished characteristics of every tool.
