Abstract

Electrically conductive polyaniline (PANI) / polystyrene (PS) composites were prepared by solution casting process. A composite polymer as a soluble aniline copolymers can be formed from the aniline with other monomers as ortho, meta and para amino phenol. The resulting composites exhibit nanostructured polydispersity. By increasing the content of PANI, the permittivity and dielectric loss increased and the conductivity of the composite increased as well. For industrial applications, the low percolation's composite will be favorable due to its tuff mechanical characteristic andprocessability. In addition, the polyaniline has a mean diameter of about 50 nm as observed by TEM. As detected by SEM PANI/ PS blends have heterogeneous morphology.
