Spectrum sensing with L-th best relay selection

Abstract

This paper computes the detection probability of spectrum sensing with L-th best relay selection. The Primary User (PU) signal is amplified to Fusion Node (FN) by the relay with the L-th best Signal to Noise Ratio (SNR). Spectrum sensing using the energy detector is performed at fusion node using the relayed signal. We study blind and non blind relays with Opportunistic Amplify and Forward (OAF), Partial and Reactive Relay Selection (PRS and RRS). Our computation are valid for Rayleigh channels with different position of nodes. We compute the detection probability and signal to noise ratio statistics and compare the results to Matlab simulations.
