Abstract

Mounting fin and loading nano-powders have been employed in present research to speed up the solidification. The container has two walls which connected to cold flow and two adiabatic walls. The complex fin has been mounted over the inner wall. The container was full of water in start of process and cold regions make it to convert to ice. Modification of properties of water can be happen with adding alumina nanoparticles and for reaching the efficacy of size of particles, three levels for radius of them have been applied. FEM was used for simulating current transient conduction mode with connecting source term of phase altering. Good accommodation was reported in verification test and various configuration of grid for three time stages were shown. As radius of particle augments, firstly period reduce about 16.22 % and then it augments around 15.34 %. Furthermore, dispersing alumina nanomaterial leads to improvement of discharging rate about 35.13 %.
