Abstract

Vaccines are widely regarded as a breakthrough in modern medicine and have greatly enhanced the standard of living by reducing or eliminating many serious infectious diseases. The emergence of new pathogens and the threat of bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics underscore the urgent need for innovative approaches to vaccine development. This review examines the latest developments in vaccination platforms, such as RNA vaccines, viral vectors, and nanoparticle-based approaches. Areas of research include RNA vaccines, trained immunity vaccines, and combination vaccines. This review demonstrates the potential of next-generation vaccines to address the limitations of current vaccines, such as longer development times and the requirement for more doses. Some of the benefits associated with this type of vaccine are highlighted. The study also demonstrates the properties of next-generation vaccines and their ability to elicit better immune responses.
