Abstract

The number of earthquakes has significantly increased, and many of them have resulted in property losses, environmental harms, and fatalities. This year alone earthquakes happened in Turkey and Syria. We need to create an Internet of Things (IoT) device that acts as an earthquake sensor in order to prevent wasting time and alert the appropriate authorities as soon as possible. The project's goal is to prevent harm and fatalities. In this project, we will install a GSM-based seismic sensor to address the issue of delayed earthquake reporting. When the device detects an earthquake, it alerts the residents and promptly notifies the appropriate authorities so they may take immediate action.
