Complete digital workflow for the conversion of complete dentures to fixed implant-supported prostheses: A dental technique

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

A completely digital workflow for fabricating complete arch implant-supported prostheses for edentulous patients with existing removable complete dentures is presented. A custom scan body attached to the screw-retained abutment in the most anterior implant serves as a fixed reference for digital alignment and articulation at the optimal occlusal vertical dimension and centric relation. This technique improves treatment efficiency, as it eliminates the need to convert the existing prostheses, improving the patient experience, reducing clinical visits, and providing a minimally invasive approach that is applicable to both arches.
