N2 - The convergence of artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity represents a transformative leap forward in combating the ever-evolving landscape of cyber threats, enhancing the need to strengthen the overall defense systems of nations. This synergy automates analysis, identifies patterns, predicts potential vulnerabilities in large datasets, and employs real-time monitoring to mitigate risks. As a global concern, collaborative research becomes imperative to stay ahead, recognizing the potential havoc that AI can wreak if exploited by hackers. Drawing insights from industry, academia, and the foreign sector, this chapter explores challenges, opportunities, and potential ventures in the science and technology domain propelled by AI. Furthermore, this chapter delves into the measures, remedies, and strategies different countries have implemented encompassing technical solutions, policies, and best practices designed to detect, respond to, and prevent cyber threats. The surge in internet-connected devices and escalating digital data transactions, coupled with increased reliance on cloud computing, has expanded potential risks. Interconnected activities of individuals, businesses, and governments underscore the critical need to safeguard digital systems. Cybersecurity assumes significance as it protects against hacking, unauthorized access, data breaches, and intricate cyberattacks. Cybersecurity approaches of some of the largest and most powerful countries such as the European Union, the United States, China, Israel, Russia, and India have been studied to mark the importance of “Global Cooperation” in addressing cross-border cyber threats.
