Abstract

Chromosomal and single gene disorders are unique disorders that affect people with varied manifestations. Chromosomal and single gene disorder presentation drives us to plow through the pathogenesis and the biological basis which may lead to the answers for the most general questions of why, where, when, and even how do they manifest. Comprehension of such a knowledge holds the key for the acceptance and better understanding of these disorders. To delve into such a depth, a preliminary understanding of the basic concept of the deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), chromosome, genes, and alleles is a requisite.
