Synthesis and antifungal activity of some new 1,3,4-oxadiazoles

Abstract

A series of 5-{2-[(p-substituted phenyl) amino] ethyl}-N-(substituted phenyl)-1,3,4-oxadiazol-2-amines (3a-h) was synthesized by reacting 3-(4-substituted anilino) propionic acid hydrazide with substituted phenyl isothiocyanates. The final compounds, 3a-h were structurally confirmed on the basis of their spectral and analytical data. The compounds showed promising results as antifungal agents compared with standard drug at similar concentration.
