N2 - English communication is one of the abilities that must be acquired in order to progress as it allows someone to travel the world for business, job, higher education, or permanent settlement without concern or fear of communication. On the Internet, around 1 billion people type and communicate in English at any given time. The use of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is now an element of the language acquisition process. Because of the global need for ICT skills and competences, academic programs at higher education institutions must adapt their content and procedures. However, studies suggest that their ICT integration approaches fall short of expectations. Also, strengthening students’ speaking abilities in English has long been a difficulty in schools. This research attempted to assess the traditional versus modern technology of communication, ICT roles in communication, and usage and impacts of ICT in English communication in Saudi Arabia. The research found that students have good awareness about modern ICTs; however, there are gaps following right and focused approach toward improving their English communication. Study also found that there are gaps in teaching methods and students approach, and hence, combined efforts from parents, teachers, and students should be made to improve current situation for future benefits. Although, about 80–90% people could speak and communicate in English language, and it is used as secondary language at school (Ryan in How many people speak English in Saudi Arabia?
