Abstract

This article has been retracted: please see Elsevier Policy on Article Withdrawal (https://www.elsevier.com/about/policies/article-withdrawal). This paper is retracted at the request of the Editor-in-Chief. The editor no longer has confidence in the data presented in this paper. Following a whistle-blower complaint, an investigation indicated extensive reuse of images and data in this paper [A] from previously published [B]https://doi.org/10.3390/cryst10090788, [C] https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jobe.2020.101522, [D] https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jclepro.2016.12.151, [E] https://doi.org/10.3390/cryst10080696. Specifically, SEM images (Fig. 7 in [A], Fig. 11 in [B], Fig. 7 in [C], and Fig. 10 in [D]) are the same, but with different curing ages, “the scanning electron micrograph (SEM) test was done on the specimens at the curing age of 91 days” (paper [A]), “the SEM image of POFA-based paste in PAFRC samples at the ages of 28 and 90 days” (paper [B]), “SEM images of (a) 28-day and (b) 90-day grout pastes used in PAC” (paper [C]), and “SEM of (a) OPC (B1) and (b) POFA (B7) concrete mixtures of water cured” (paper [D]). SEM images (Fig. 8 in [A] and Fig. 6 in [E]) are the same, but with different curing ages, “91-day curing in water” (paper [A]) and “cured in water for 365 days” (paper [E]). The numeric data reported in Fig. 5 of Paper A is identical to that reported in Fig. 2 of Paper E. The corresponding author denies any duplication or falsification and maintains that the data is different.
