Abstract

In this study, an application of Manta Ray Foraging Optimization (MRFO) algorithm is demonstrated for PV parameter extraction. The MRFO is utilized to extract the parameters of both single diode and double diode model R.T.C. France silicon solar cell. The algorithm is easy to implement with less computational time. The MRFO optimizer is compared to Artificial Bee Optimization (ABO) and Flower Pollination Algorithms (FPA) algorithms. The results demonstrated the ability of MRFO for parameter extraction.
