Abstract
The goal of a distribution grid is to deliver sufficient and secure energy to its consumers at a fair cost and with appropriate dependability. Consumers and utilities are concerned about power losses and system reliability. Reconfiguring the distribution grid may significantly decrease power losses, enhance the voltage profile, and boost system dependability. Load flow solution and advanced optimization algorithms that are capable of tackling massive complex issues are required for network reconfiguration investigations. Therefore, this chapter provides a general overview, problem formulation, and different methods utilized for network reconfiguration.
