abstract = "This study proposes a novel neutral clamped three-level inverter (NCTI) based fractional order filter (FOF) for multiple solar-PV-based grid integrated microgrid system applications. The proposed NCTI is capable to produce excess voltage levels as compared to the traditional inverter, which improves the power quality (PQ) significantly. In addition to that, FOF is integrated to compute the essential active current element by regulating the distorted grid current and is used for inverter pulse generation. Further, to extract maximum power and obtain an excellent modulation index of the boost converter, an incremental conductance (IC) based maximum power algorithm (MPA) is suggested. Due to the excellent control operation, the grid integrated solar system offers better power quality by reducing the grid voltage and current harmonics as per the IEEE-1541 standards and avail better active and reactive power supply. To justify the effectiveness of the proposed study, the proposed MATLAB/Simulink-based control method findings are related to the traditional integer-order filter results and found improved total harmonic contained as per the IEEE-1541 standards.",
