Abstract

N'-{[2-(piperidin-1-yl)quinolin-3-yl]methylene}pyridine-4-carbohydrazide 2 has been synthesized through condensation of 2-(piperidin-1-yl)quinoline-3-carbaldehyde 1 with isonicotinic acid hydrazide (INH) in absolute ethanol. The structure of the title compound 2 was established on the basis of IR, ¹H-NMR, ¹³C-NMR and mass spectral data.
