Abstract
A new concept of burst generator architecture dedicated to impulseradio ultra-wideband wireless communication systems is presented. Bursts are generated by using four elementary baseband pulse generators operating in parallel. Thus, the resulting waveform is the amplitude and phase addition of time-overlapped pulses. The circuit has been implemented in 65 nm CMOS technology under a 1.2 V supply voltage. Simulation results are presented exhibiting a power consumption of 7.24 mW.
