Abstract

In engineering sciences, modeling the behavior of a system from the observation is the first step to understand the phenomenon. Then, the model opens the way to simulation in order to reproduce timely the behavior of the real system with the flexibility to modify, adjust and play various scenarios. In this paper, we present a simulator of the activity of elderly person in a Health Smart Home using the HMM "Hidden Markov Model". This simulator can help in the process of modeling of the effects of loss of autonomy of the elderly living independently The experimental data was obtained in the HIS "Habitat Intelligent pour la Santé" within the framework of the French national "AILISA" project.
