Abstract

Machine learning (ML) is increasingly touching all fields in our life and making huge impact on their improvement. In this paper, we present an overview of several used methods in ML to highlight their interest and the future trends. The paper gives a short tour on their use in Power system applications. Then, we focus on their use in solar PV systems for both energy generation and MPPT implementation. We expect to bring an insight to the latest progress in machine learning methods within power and energy systems in general and solar PV systems in particular.
