Abstract

Roots of Salvia lanigera Poir. yielded a new icetexane (10, 12-dihydroxy-9(10 → 20)-abeo-8,11,13-abietatriene], named lanigerol, which had activity (MIC 1 mg/ml) against Gram-positive bacteria.
