Abstract

This paper investigates the performance of an intelligent fuzzy coordinated hybrid control structure for a pressure control process. In the proposed structure an intelligent fuzzy controller has been designed in such a way to adjust the parameters of a classical PID controller in on-line that will reduce the human involvement in tuning the controller parameters at different operating conditions. The pressure process model has been obtained through experimental study. Simulations were carried out under various conditions to study the performance of the proposed control scheme and results are compared to those obtained by only conventional without supervisory scheme.
