Abstract

This study aims to understand the elements of entrepreneurship in an undergraduate university environment. Interestingly, this study points out that young minds think thatentrepreneurship as a career is not negatively affected by level of risk, prior knowledge, time to establish, social acceptability and managing resources. One possible reason for this is the level of unawareness among respondents regarding the challenges of entrepreneurship. Furtherusing factor analysis, motivation, confidence, interest and knowledge were found to be the factors affecting intention towards entrepreneurship. A policy recommendation would be to motivate students through courses on entrepreneurship in their curriculum.
