Abstract

This article investigates the heat transfer enhancement on three different types of nanofluids Titanium dioxide(TiO2), (CuO) Copper oxide and Aluminum oxide (Al2O3) using an application in automobile radiator while considering the slip condition. A comparative study has been carried out for all three nanofluids. The governing partial differential equations are reduced into ordinary differential equations by using similarity transformations. It is observed that the high values of Grashof number leads to decrease in thermal performance of the nanofluid and TiO2 nanofluid affected the most. This study shows that the thermal slip effects leads to a decrease in temperature of the fluid. This decrement is dominant in TiO2 nanofluid whereas CuO has shown least effects of slip parameter. Among all three nanofluids, Al2O3 nanofluid shows the best thermal performance.
