Abstract
New digital technologies are highly accepted and adopted by both manufacturing and service organizations. Intensity of competition is increasing day by day due to the urge for high profit, more market share, and market leadership. The supply chain is one of the important dimensions to focus upon to make an organization competitive and responsive. New digital technologies improve the supply chain efficiency and make the organization more resilient. The enabling technologies of the supply chain such as blockchain and IoT will make the supply chain more efficient. This chapter intends to distinguish between traditional and modern supply chains and examine the role of new digital technologies to make the supply chain more efficient.
