Abstract

We introduce extensions of the real matrix-variate gamma function and real matrix-variate beta function and give their density functions. We also apply the extended real matrix-variate beta function to extend real matrix-variate hypergeometric and confluent hypergeometric functions via zonal polynomials, some of whose interesting properties are investigated.
