Abstract

The main objective of this paper is to describe activity associated with high technologies of real-time monitoring of the Earth surface and solar energy conversion. A data acquisition system has designed and implemented with facilities for monitoring meteorological data and solar radiation. The system, using photovoltaic monitoring equipment and hardware-software complex "Kosmos-3M", was developed for taking images of the Earth from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) satellites and for handling these images, analyzing many important geographical and meteorological parameters for forecasting of incoming solar radiation. With the help of the proposed monitoring system it is possible to study not only weather but also climatic aspects using solar energy in case of long-term collecting data at least during 10-30 years.
