Abstract

The study presented here is focused on a design of rectangular microstrip patch antenna by using the electromagnetic simulator HFSS. The design was made on three different shapes of patch antennas by changing the method of feeding and minimizing the return loss. The substrate used FR4 Epoxy with dielectric constant of 4.32. The method of analysis considered is the model of transmission line with antenna dimensions of 68.1 mm × 59.7 mm × 1.6 mm at frequency belonging to S band and equal to 2.45 GHz which is most widely used for Wi-Fi transmissions. Various parameters have been obtained after simulating such return loss and gain.
