Current Record Range of Laplace Distributed Data with Application on Saudi Arabia Industrial Data

Research output: Contribution to journalArticlepeer-review

Abstract

In this study, we investigated the current record which is a method of selecting upper and lower records simultaneously and then subtracting them to calculate the current record range. The cumulative distribution functions of the current record range from any distribution will be introduced along with the probability and cumulative distribution functions for such records when the data are Laplace distributed. In addition, closed forms of the moments of the current record range were found along with a recurrence form for it. Real Laplace-distributed data were used to show the effectiveness of the new results, along with a conclusion section.
