Abstract

Irrespective of the type and size of organization, Performance Management (PM) is an indispensible aspect that is capable of making an organization successful. Experiences show that many PM systems are underutilized and they often do not serve any of the intended purposes. To test the efficacy of any PM system there is a need for an appropriate tool. The present study was undertaken to construct and validate a tool that is capable of measuring the attitude of employees towards the Performance Management System. The study has been successful in constructing a questionnaire that consists of 16 items. The Factor analyses of the items have presented a five factor solution. The questionnaire has been tested for reliability and validity and it is found to be reliable and valid.
