Abstract

Chrono-drug delivery systems (CDDS) optimize therapeutic outcomes by aligning drug release with the body's circadian rhythms. Unlike traditional methods, CDDS enable time-specific drug release to address conditions like hypertension, asthma, and arthritis, which exhibit time-dependent symptoms. Utilizing advanced formulations such as pulsatile systems and stimuli-responsive designs, CDDS enhance efficacy, reduce toxicity, and improve adherence. Technological innovations like smart materials further personalize treatments. With applications in cardiovascular, respiratory, and metabolic diseases, and potential in oncology and neurology, CDDS promise transformative advancements in precision medicine.
