An embedded fuzzy controller for real time pressure control

Abstract

This paper presents an embedded fuzzy controller to regulate the pressure in a pilot air tank system. The control algorithm is formulated using direct mamdani fuzzy sets, which eliminates overshoot and guarantees the asymptotical stability of the system. The algorithm has been developed using 'C' language and is converted into target compatible Hex code by using KEIL software. The proposed algorithm is embedded into a high performance target microcontroller and its performance is studied with real time experimental setup. The experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme.
