Abstract

In this present paper, the adaptation challenges of electric vehicles (EVs) for third world countries are presented. Due to several important criteria, such as cost and affordability, public awareness, industrial support, energy support, and government intervention, the sustainability of EVs may face some problems. By considering the mentioned criterion with the help of the fuzzy multi criterion decision making (MCDM) method, the criterion weights are found. Besides the new model formulation, a new defuzzification method is introduced. The data sets in terms of opinion are taken by two decision makers and the results are numerically illustrated.
